ASSIGNMENT SCHEDULE  [

July 6, 2008

WELCOME!

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever” (Psalm 106:1). Isn’t it great that the Lord has made it possible for us to assemble here for worship and mutual encouragement in his service? If you are a visitor today, you are very welcome here. We hope you feel blessed, and invite you to come back whenever you can. . . . Last Sunday we welcomed Angela Brinker and her daughter. They live in Aurora and were guests of Karen Powell. We were glad also to meet Angela Taylor, her daughter Morgan and her son Charles. They have moved here from Tennessee and they found our congregation through our website.

 PRAYER LIST

We welcome Yasmeen Bell, who has moved here from Colorado Springs to live with Antwan and Jessica and their and their family. Antwan expressed his thanks to God and the congregation for blessings received by their family; may He continue to bless them. . . . Yolanda Cox has been having much difficulty in breathing; she is on oxygen all the time. She hopes to return to church as soon as she is able. . . .  Please continue to pray for these others whose needs have been brought before us:

Connie Magnusson, Earline Horton, Wendy Robertson, Wayne Lapp, Jerry Rogers, Christy Bechtel and Mary Tarkenton in their health struggles.

Rowe Stayton, David Pena and others in the armed forces, and their families.

Rikky Jones in his legal difficulties.

WORKDAY SATURDAY

Donuts, coffee and orange juice will be free, and the fellowship will be top-notch. And, oh yeah, there will be enough chores to go around. We start about 8:00 and usually finish well before noon. Come if you can.

MOVIE NIGHT

Friday night, July 18, beginning at 7 o’clock. The film is entitled, “Facing the Giants.” It is a sports film with a strong spiritual message. Bring whatever snacks you want to share. See Cris Davenport if you have questions.

Chuck and T.R. Huffine and their group arrived safely in Ukraine — somewhat ahead of part of their luggage. They’re tired but well. They will appreciate our prayers.

If you’re interested in taking part in the softball tournament this year, please talk to Cris Davenport.

WEBSITE PROBLEMS

Our website server changed hands last week and things are a bit topsy-turvy. You can find the main screens but not all the others. We hope to get back in good shape soon.
