The Beauty of God's Creation

HEAVEN

Rev. 4:1-11.
This is one of the places where heaven is described. This is a place where we want to go. There is a place where we will spend time with other Christians. We need to train ourselves to focus on the things of God. As we are singing praises to and focusing on God we are building ourselves up to enjoy eternity in heaven.

  GOD'S LIGHT IN EARTHEN VESSELS

2 Cor. 4:3-7
There is a light that comes from Christ. God has given us the treasure (the good news) is entrusted to earthen vessels. This is a figure of speech referring to cheap fragile earthen lamps. People in those days could afford a variety of lamps depending on their level of income. The earthen lamps were the ones the poor or common people could afford. This is a way of saying that the gospel was entrusted to the common people. God wanted the glory for the spread of the Gospel to be His, not that of the rich or famous. Today we are the common people who are the ones entrusted to spread the good news by sharing the Word.

THE BEAUTY OF GOD'S CREATION

This was a beautiful day today. We have the ability to view the beautiful fall colors, the purple mountains, and snow capped mountains. Let's look at some verses about the beauty of the earth and how that beauty glorifies God.

Isaiah 35:1-2
Matt. 6:30
Mark 13:28
Psalm 8:1-8
Psalm 19:1

We can look out at nature and realize that God is in charge.
