MORNING MEDITATION

“Morning by morning, O Lord, you hear my voice” (Psalm 5:3)

 February 12

“My Grace is Sufficient for You”

(Please read 2 Corinthians 12:7-10)

We all have highs and lows in life, but don’t you sometimes feel that the lows are much more frequent and last longer than the highs? Apparently Paul had some of that same feeling. After a look in Chapter 11 at the hardships he endured, we might wonder how he could possibly continue his work of preaching the gospel.

Yet he not only tolerated the bad times; he gloried that he could suffer for the Lord. And this same apostle could cheerfully write, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

It is because of promises like these that we can sing such songs as “It Is Well with My Soul” with true confidence and hope.

Would you like to pray now? Surely if you ask, God will give you strength to survive the lows with your faith intact. And you can even rejoice in how those hard times make you a better servant of his.
