A
Pearl of Great Price
Intentionally Seeking God
The Pearl of
Great Value
Matt.
13:45-46-
-
This
merchant is an active seeker of the best pearls he could find. The
scripture calls on us to be constantly looking for the best things of God.
It doesn't say that this merchant had great joy when he found the pearl.
Sometimes Christians aren't going around on an emotional high, but if we are
consistent and constant in our service we are doing what God wants.
-
This merchant recognized the pearl for its value.
-
The merchant was willing to pay the price.
Let's be ready to do
whatever it takes to be ready for the best God as for us.
Paul's Christian Example
Phil. 3:12-17
-
God wasn't finished with Paul. Just like the merchant, Paul was always
searching for more and for the best from God.
-
Paul put forth great effort to move forward in his Christian life.
-
Paul forgot what was behind.
