Attached To God
1 John 1:3
Watching trains fascinates many children. Watching the power of the locomotive attaching itself to the cars is an experience that makes an impression. We can connect with God and receive our power from Him.
God Is Three In One
1 Cor. 8:4-6
There is only one God. Jesus is God in the flesh. The Spirit dwells in us. These different aspects are all part of God.
The Need to Be Freed from Sin
People have a problem when it comes to being attached to God. We have the barrier of sin.
2 Cor. 5:17-21
We need to be reconciled to God through Jesus, who is our way to God. Our sins were taken away by casting them on to the innocent Son of God.
1 Peter 2:21-25
Do we believe that it doesn’t matter how bad our sins? Jesus can take our sins away no matter how awful our actions were. We must humble ourselves and accept what God is offering us.
Need for Faith & Repentance
In order to attach ourselves to God, we must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.
God gave the sacrifice and asks us to commit to Him and to believe His promises.
If we will be serious about our commitment to God and respond to His invitation, we can attach ourselves to God and His goodness. God will help us in our quest for Him.
We need to continuously examine ourselves to make sure our hearts are right with God and that we are securely attached to God and what is good.
Become attached to God by repenting and being baptized and living a faithful life.
