Today it is difficult to maintain relationships. We are separated by distance, work hours, and entertainment. We use all these as substitutes for human interactions. We should get our strengths from God’s family. We should not be selfish. Seagulls are an example in the animal kingdom of a bird that is selfish.
Acts 2:41 — How did the early church work?
We should be in harmony as the early church was.
We can be devoted to:
- The apostle’s teaching
- Doing good works
When did you feel the greatest unity with others?
We should experience unity here today. We need to do our part to establish that unity.
Christians should be gentle with one another so that we are one body and one spirit. Wild Geese are examples of working together. A strong goose always drops back to help a weak one. Geese are 71% more efficient in flight as a result of their v formation.
As Christians we are to build one another up. Christians are to be like one unified body.
We are members of one another.
1 Peter 4:8
Love covers a multitude of mistakes. God gives us strength to love one another.
We need to please God by our work. We need to have the knowledge of God’s ways and draw strength from God.
Let the Word dwell in you. This reading gives rules for Christian living.
Encourage one another
Do all in the name of the Lord
We need to draw strength from our association with one another.
