A summary of the gospel is that God’s grace brings our peace.

God’s Grace

  • No Boasting

Eph. 2:1-10, Rom. 3:21-26, Rom. 11:5-6

We can’t save ourselves.  We are saved by God’s grace.  We are apart from God by nature.  God’s gift of his son is our salvation.  How do we react to this news?  Do we have feelings of thanksgiving for God’s gift? God’s love and care are available 24/7 we just need to tune in and take advantage of his grace.  This is one way to change our attitudes and to be positive,

  • Depending on God

1 Peter 5:6-7

God cares for each of us.  Each should humble himself under the mighty hand of God. This means to trust in God, he will care for you.

  • Strong when Suffering

2 Cor. 12:7-10

God doesn’t have to take away our suffering for us to have God’s grace.  He cares for us no matter what our circumstances and his power is available to help us.

Our Peace

  • Peace with God

Romans 5:1, Phil. 4:4-9

God is no longer angry with us.  God is with us and we can trust in him.

  • Peace with Others

Eph. 2:11-22

We can have unity when we all trust in God. God can calm the raging waves of prejudice and hate in our hearts.

1 John 4:7-21

We love others because God loves us.
