When we purchase tickets to an entertainment or to travel we don’t expect to have to do any of the work. Some people think that when we are converted to Christianity we have purchased a ticket to heaven and there are no responsibilities.
God’s People Are:
- The World’s Greatest Nation
Daniel 2:44, Matt. 13:31-35
We are part of a Kingdom and we have responsibilities to fulfill.
- The Light of the World
Matt. 5:14-16, 1 Peter 2:9-10
In an evil world Christians are the reflection of God’s goodness through Jesus.
- An Advancing Army
Matt. 16:13-19, 2 Cor. 10:3-6
Christians have the faith in Jesus that overwhelms the power of death in the world. Christians are on the offensive against evil in the world.
- Crop Harvesters
John 4:36-38, Matt. 9:36-38
God’s people are workers. We have the responsibility to bring people to God. If you can pray you can work. God takes away all of our human excuses.
- A Productive Vine
John 15:4-5, Col.1:5-6
Jesus provides all the strength and power for Christians to battle evil. No person or Church is too weak or small to join the battle.
- An Expanding Temple
Eph. 2:19-22, 1 Cor. 3:16-17
God’s church is built on the foundation of Jesus and the Prophets. The foundation is big enough for every brick. God’s temple is a Spiritual Temple and has room for all.
- A Healthy Growing Body
Eph. 4:14-16, Romans 12:4-8, 1 Peter 4:10-11
It takes the working of each part for the body to grow. Each person has his or her own part to make the body grow.
God provides the opportunities for each of us to do good works and bring souls into the Kingdom.
