Let’s look at how God works in our lives and in the world today.

God Works to Change Us
· 1 Cor. 1:4-9. Paul did not give up on this church because God was working in this church. Paul saw that God was working on the individuals to bring them to perfection.
· Eph. 1:15-19a. God works to purify our hearts.
· 2 Thess. 2:13. God works to sanctify us.

God Works to Use Us
· Phil. 1:3-5. These people were binging used, by God, to help Paul.
· 1 Thess. 1:2-4..God chose these people to further the kingdom. God uses individuals to further the light of his Word. This inspires people to thank God for all he does.

God Works to Bring Us Joy
· 1 Thess. 3:9-10. Paul had great relationships and he was thankful to God for these people.
· 2 Tim. 1:3-4. We can and should thank God for individuals in our lives. We need to realize the joy God provides for us through people in our lives.

God Works in Our Troubles
· 2 Thess. 1:3-4. Trouble gives us an opportunity to strengthen our faith and to give thanks for the ways God works in our life.

God Works Through The Word
· 1 Thess. 2:13. We thank God that the Word is constant and always available.
· Col. 1:3-8. The Word works in our lives to accomplish God’s purposes in our lives. We need a steady diet of the Word of God.

God Works Throughout The World
· Romans 1:8. The church is a worldwide movement so we can rejoice when good happens anywhere in the world. The message of the gospel is for the whole world. his blessings are for all who will receive it.

God’s Works Should Be Acknowledged

· Philemon 4-7. Paul thanked God for the work Philemon was doing. Let’s give God the glory and thanks for what He does in our lives.
