We are continuing to be aware of the story of the victims of hurricane Katrina.

Refugees, evacuees or asylum seekers?

On a spiritual level we are all fleeing the catastrophe evil makes of the world.

  • Facing a Real Danger

John 8:44, 1 Tim. 3:7, 1 Peter 5:8, Rev. 9:11

Satan is active and real.

  • Jesus Christ, Our Rescuer

Rom. 5:6-10,

We can’t always see the danger, but God can and he has sent a way of rescue through Jesus.

Eph. 2:4-9, Col. 1:13-14, Titus 3:3-7

God rescues us because he loves us.  We were helpless against Satan and sin and God rescued us from darkness.

  • We Must Decide to Leave

Acts 26:16-18

Paul was given a charge to give people an opportunity to leave sin and come into the light.

We have a chose to accept Jesus and salvation or to reject him.

  • New Life Freely Given

1 Cor. 6:9-11

We have nothing that will allow us into heaven, but God has given us a way in because of his grace and mercy.

  • Living In Peace

Eph. 2:13-16

Jesus brings us into peace with others and brings us reconciliation with God.

  • God Can be Trusted to Help

Heb. 4:16

God is there to help us in our times of need.

  • We Must Never Go Back

2 Peter 2:20-22

On a Spiritual level, we must not go back to the world of darkness.
