After recently looking at a 50th anniversary edition of this magazine, it became apparent that there are pictures in it that are not promoting righteousness.

Beware of What You See
Job 31:1.
Psa. 119:37.
Isaiah 33:15-16.

We are surrounded by a culture that promotes vanity, violence and greed. There are great blessings in turning towards the ways of God. We will reach the great things God has planned for us by following Him.

Matt. 5:27-30.
We need to live a disciplined life and keep control of our thoughts and our deeds.

1 Thess. 4:1-8 .
We should choose to live for God following His commandments. We are set apart for a Holy God for His purposes in our lives.

Eph. 5:25-33.
Christ gave himself up for us. We must follow the example set for us in our relationships by keeping selfish behaviors and thoughts out of our relationships.

Pursuing Purity
Romans 13:14.
Don’t provide for the sinful part of our natures. Be serious about living righteously.

2 Tim. 2:22.
Look for what is good and go after it. Run from what will take you from God.

1 Peter 2:11-12.
Keep your behavior in line with what will connect you with God. Fight what will take away our relationship with God.

2 Peter 1:5-6.
Self-control is a key to overcoming what drags us into sin. Feeding ourselves with God’s word is another key.

1 Cor. 9:24-25.
God has rewards for our efforts.

Gal.5:16-17.
God sent the Holy Spirit to help each of us to fight the temptations of this world.

Luke 15:16.
The prodigal son could have eaten the pig’s food or he could have made a choice to go home and be fed in his father’s house. We can be fed by God and live.
